This image provokes a thought in me… Something that ive come to learn over the years…
Sometimes life changes… Life turns its direction drastically.. Sometimes you cant help but be thrown out of your comfort zone and into another phase of your life where you will be confused, a little lost and you loose orientation.
Who would have known that we are all so heavily conditioned to believe that ‘that particular phase’ is the ‘shit time’ in our lives…because of this perception, we learn to hate it, despise it, which is normal, but what we dont realize is, that with the hate comes this will to ignore it and not deal with it, resulting us as people who are incapable of dealing with it.
In fact that phase is totally inevitable.. Its acts as that wave of change that visits us in so many different ways at so many different occasion in ours lives.. It comes in so many disguises that we fail to realize what is truly happening. Sometimes it comes in disguised as a new job, a new town, a lost relationship, a broken home etc etc..
That wave of change Is no stranger! In fact, we need to learn to make friends with it instead of sitting in our comfort zones just marinating i our hate for it.
By that i mean, instead of struggling, and acting helpless each time we face this change, we should learn from it! Learn to manage it! we should go with the flow and swim instead of struggling and risk sinking in it!
The only way to survive that wave of change is to learn how to ride the wave and come out of it in 1 piece, fit enough to pick up the pieces of whats left, and carry on walking!
If only we were all taught this lesson when we were kids, it would’ve have made things slightly more understandable! Im certainly going to teach my kids this lesson!
Wouldnt it be great if someone wrote story books for kids with such lessons?
